A reaction game on paper

The square stays. The walls don't.

Walls close in from four sides, each with a single opening. Swipe toward the one that arrives. Your square never moves — only the timing is yours.

How it plays

For iPhone and iPad.

How it plays

One gesture, all game

There is nothing to learn past the first wall. Everything after it is the same gesture, arriving sooner.

  1. 01

    Swipe toward the wall

A wall from above is answered upward. The direction is the whole of the input.

  2. 02

    Timing decides, not position

The square holds the centre. What counts is the moment you answer, not where you are.

  3. 03

    First wall first

When several are travelling, they clear in the order they arrive. Swipe a shade early and it waits for its wall rather than being thrown away.

Pressure

It gets harder in one direction only

Nothing is added to the rules. The walls simply come sooner, and more of them are in the air at once.

Lives

However many are travelling, they arrive one after another with room to answer each. More walls means a longer chain to read, never everything landing at once.

Score

A clean run pays twice

Three for a perfect, two for a clean one, one for a late scrape — and a scrape ends the run of them. The window a perfect asks for keeps narrowing the further you get.

Rings mark the score milestones

One leaderboard and eight achievements, through Game Center — signing in is optional and the game is complete without it. Your best score also follows your Apple account between devices, with nothing to set up.

Paper

Six sheets, no glow

No gradients, no particles, nothing that pulses for attention. Three are ink on paper and free. Three bring the same ten muted colours to the walls, and those three are Pro.

  • Day

    Ink on warm paper.

  • Night

    The same sheet, inverted.

  • Auto

    Follows the device.

  • Soft DayPro

Ten muted colours on the walls.

  • Soft NightPro

The same ten, lifted to carry on charcoal.

  • Soft AutoPro

The colour set, following the device.
